I can tell from your post that salesmanship is not your ambition in life. How about taking the time to tell us why we should change, something other than a terse phrase or two.

What is tabbed browsing?

Hi. I'm another user of Firefox, and can agree that it is good. *smile* Yes, explain exactly what the tabbed browsing thing is; I honestly don't (at least intentionally) use that feature. *smile* Anyway, some things I like?: I like that I can just type in a name say for instance, "The Zone BBS", to come here instead of the address. Sometimes it's easier to just type in the name if you can do that quicker, and of couse if not, you can always type in the web address as in IE. Also, and actually the main reason for changing web browsers is that I've been having trouble with IE, where if I clicked on a link to open another window, it would come up with the Alta Vista web site. JAWS would still read the title as the proper name of what the page, should be, but using arrows to read the page showed different, and this would be impossible to fix with a simple page refresh, and sometimes even with scanning for viruses or other similar problems. So with FF, this very rarely happens anymore. *smile*

Another thing I like, is that, although it is pretty new, besides it not getting constant poppups and other problems like IE *hope I don't jinx it*, it is constantly improving. Now it finally has where you have the option for it to remember your passwords, and it also recognizes (or has it to where JAWS can recognize) visited links. I'm so happy for that! Even though I've heard that FF is not supported by many programs, I have almost no problems with it. *smile* The only things I don't like, are when it sometimes has to close, and the fact that I can't easily get to and use the Bookmarks the way I could use the Favorites in IE. If someone can explain how to get to my list of Bookmarks so I can use them that would be great. *smile* For now I don't have much in there for the reason I mentioned, but being able to do that would really come in handy, as I've been just saving web addresses in a regular text file.

I can do the same thing in ie with shift+enter to bring up a new webpage and alt+tab between the two. So, what else is great about firefox?

stupid fucking ie copied off that. firefox is more secure, you have less of a chance of getting spyware and things ofthat nature. plus it's way more stable. I also think it's faster than ie. that's just my oppinion.

Well, I won't say who coppied anything off of whom, because I haven't paid too much attention to that, but I can say I agree with the rest of the last post. *smile* Firefox does seem faster, and I haven't had any problems with it so far, as far as having my homepage highjacked, constant pop-ups, etc. And that's with spy-ware-detecting software on my computer and me having to check it more often than I do now. Plus, for some weirdish reason, I can't seem to update IE anyway because it seems not to be installing everything. I'm not too fond of the tab browsing on Firefox, but otherwise, I like it. *smile*
